Your guide to getting to Palma de Mallorca
Whether you are preparing your next visit to the city of Palma de Mallorca or you have just landed on the island, here is how to get to Palma easily.
The main entry point to the city is Palma de Mallorca Airport (Son Sant Joan). Getting from the airport to Palma city center is very easy and can be done in just 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic and the means of transport you choose.

How to get there by car or taxi
The main road connecting the airport with Palma is the Ma-19. When you arrive at the airport, take this road and follow the signs in the direction of Palma.
As you approach Palma, you will see different entrances to the city. If you are staying with us at El Josemari Youth Hostel we recommend you take exit 6 towards Avenidas, following the route below.
How to get there by bus
If you prefer to travel by public transport, line 1 of the EMT is the one that connects the airport with the centre of Palma de Mallorca.
Some of the main stops are Plaza de España, Avenida Argentina or Paseo Mallorca.
In Plaza de España you will find the Intermodal Station, which will connect you to different parts of the island and Palma. This is the stop we recommend if you are staying with us.

El Josemari Youth Hostel from any point in the centre
Our hostel is located just 10 minutes walk from the Plaza de España and within walking distance of the most important points of the city.
You will find us in Plaça Quadrado , in the heart of the charming neighbourhood of Sa Gerreria. It is one of the most beautiful areas of the city, full of little streets that you will love to get lost in.
